The football team of Magna Powertrain Plovdiv was created in 2013, when they received an invitation to participate in the debut season of the Football Corporate League in the Bulgarian city of PLovdiv.
In their first two seasons (2013/2014 and 2014/2015), MAGNA finished in 4th and 3rd place in Plovdiv's business league after dramatic games at the end of both seasons.
The third season (2015/2016) was their best as they were strengthened by some very good players who joined the company and helped the team win the league without a defeat in 30 games.
In the fourth season (2016/2017), MAGNA defended their league title after a great closing game of the season. MAGNA were 1 point behind leagues leaders SBTech with only one game left – between Magna and SBTech. MAGNA won that game by 2-1 and won the league for a second time in a row.
The team also participates in the Edenred Cup business tournament in Sofia, which features 16 teams every year. They won that cup three times in a row.
This summer MAGNA participated in the popular Kamenitza Fan CUP (the biggest amateur football tournament in Bulgaria) and reached the quarter-finals.
