PABLO Usługi Monterskie rule in Silesia

The players of PABLO Usługi Monterskie enjoyed a memorable debut campaign in the Polish Sportowa Liga Firm - Silesia and lifted the league title at the end of the season!

The league newcomers won promotion to the top filight Ekstraklasa by finishing third in the League Cup which was played on 10th September and featured 16 teams. Interestingly, in the game for the bronze medals of the 1-day tournament, PABLO Usługi Monterskie recorded a 2-0 win over Firma ZK Grzybowice - a team which will later become their main rival for the league title.

The Autumn 2020 league season featured 28 teams which were devided into three tiers - Ekstraklasa, 1 Liga and 2 Liga. The games were played at the famous Silesian Stadium in Chorzów from 14th September till 23rd November.





Entering the last round of fixtures, PABLO Usługi Monterskie and Firma ZK Grzybowice were tied at the top of the standings on 20 points and the direct game between the two sides would have decided the destiny of the title. PABLO Usługi Monterskie, led by the superb Mateusz Bystrzowski, who scored 3 goals and created 2 more, emerged victorious with an impressive 7-3 win. During their title run, the champions won 7 of their 10 games and suffered only one defeat.

The silver medals remained for the team of Firma ZK Grzybowice and Fortis Logistics Sławków had to settle for the bronze as they suffered 2 defeats in their last three games of the season.

Despite having the Ekstraklasa top goalscorer in Mateusz Majchrzak, who found the net 25 times, the Winter 2020 runners-up Freshmed lost 6 games and only managed to finish 6th in the standings.





The team of Auroland, recorded 7 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats to collect 22 points and win 1 Liga. They were led by Mateusz Ogaza - the best player in the division, who scored the most goals (27) and made the most assists (11). The silver and bronze medals in 1 Liga were won by OSOZ and Plastic Omnium who amassed 19 and 16 points, respectively.

Twelve teams participated in 2 Liga and the top three of them were separated in the standings by 2 points only. PwC SDC were the winners with 28 points, followed by ZZG Mysłowice-Wesoła (27) and Prestige (26).

ZZG Mysłowice-Wesoła's Daniel Kuliga became the top goalscorer of the third tier with 26 goals while Kamil Borawski of BMZ Poland was the best goal creator with 13 assists.
