EFCF presents corporate football tournaments across Europe and this time we would like to focus your attention on the Latvian "STRONG Cup", which is organized twice a year and has a 10-year history.
STRONG security company would like to invite you to participate in their STRONG Cup football tournament, which will be played in the modern Elektrum Olympic Centre on Grostonas iela 6B in the Latvian capital of Riga, from 10:00 till 17:00 on 30th September 2017.
STRONG Cup is a prestigious amateur football project, which gives the participants not only an opportunity to play football and have fun on the best sports grounds in Riga, but also an opportunity to meet new colleagues and establish valuable international business contacts.
The tournament will be played indoor on 4 artificial grass pitches and will be divided into two separate leagues - a "Business League" and an "Amateur League". The following regulations will be used:
- adapted football rules
- 6-a-side teams (5+1)
- 15-minute games
- each team will play at least 8 games
- ball size 5
- 1 referee
In the Business League, teams are allowed to have maximum 4 players who are not employees of the company/organization they represent. These non-employees, however, cannot be professional football players.
The participation fee is 100 EUR + VAT.
The winner of the "Business League" of the STRONG Cup will qualify for the first edition of the EFCF Cup - the EFCF European Championship for corporate teams.
After the end of the games, all players are invited to participate in the award ceremony and the party, which will take place in Friends Club on Elizabetes iela 55 in Riga.
STRONG Cup has a 10-year history and is organized twice a year - a futsal tournament in the early spring and an indoor tournament on artificial grass in the early autumn. The last edition, which was a futsal one, took place on 1st April 2017 and featured 20 football teams from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, Ukraine and Russia.
