Biography
Born in the Romanian capital of Bucharest, Ionuț is a former football, futsal and beach soccer player, as well as a former futsal and beach soccer coach. He holds degrees in Railway engineering from the "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad and Journalism from the University of Bucharest.
In 2008, Ionuț set up an organization called "Fotbal pentru Companii", which in English translates as "Football for Companies", with the aim to provide an alternative to amateur futsal and organize high-quality corporate football tournaments on outdoor astroturf pitches. Three years later, in 2011, he launched the organization's premier competition - the Bucharest's corporate football championship "Liga Companiilor" ("League of Companies").
In parallel with organizing corporate football events, Ionuț is also working as a regional press coordinator at the Romanian press-agency Mediafax.
