Beskidzka Liga Biznesu returns to the pitch

Following a prolonged winter break caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the teams of Beskidzka Liga Biznesu in the Polish town of Bielsko-Biała are playing football again!

The league action was resumed on Monday with 3 highly competitive games, which were all decided by a one-goal margin, of the 8th round of fixtures. In the first match, leaders REKORD SI remained undefeated and made an important step towards winning the title in the inaugural edition of the competition by beating the third-placed Raben. The highly entertaining match ended 8-7 and saw both REKORD SI's Szymura and Raben's Janik scoring 4 goals.

Elsewhere, the second-placed Electropoli stayed 5 points behind the leaders following a 5-4 win over Selleo. Tomaszek scored twice for the winners and his teammates Giertler, Gorzelnik and Mieszczak hit the remaining three goals. Kawiak (2), Czana (1) and Greń (1) were the goalscorers for Selleo.

Finally, Aluprof defeated Safety First by 6-5 to move from the sixth to the fourth position in the league standings. Sztorc scored a hattrick for Safety First and each of his colleagues Ryszka and Gąsiorek added a goal but this was not enough for their team to avoid the defeat. Aluprof won the match thanks to the goals from Włoch (2), Knapek (2), Zorychta (1) and Piątek (1).

Summarizing, REKORD SI lead the way with 22 points out of 8 games. Electropoli and Raben come second and third with 17 and 13 points, respectively. The first edition of Beskidzka Liga Biznesu will be completed with the 14th round of fixtures on 6th July.
