Madrid to host EFBLU European Tour 3 in June

We are very happy to officially announce that our Spanish partners FutbolEmpresas will organize our next tournament EFBLU European Tour 3 in the capital city of Madrid on 15th and 16th June 2019!
"On the 15th and 16th of June we will have the pleasure to host the third edition of the international EFBLU European Tour. This is a wonderful opportunity, for companies from all over Europe, to enjoy the city that will host the UEFA Champions League final just two weeks earlier," Antonio Barrera, the director of FutbolEmpresas, said.
EFBLU President Dr Pawel Dimow also shared his enthusiasm: "Madrid, the home of such glorious clubs like Real and Atletico, is one of the most famous football cities in the world and I am delighted that we will be playing there soon!"
The 2-day tournament for 7-a-side teams (6+1) will take place at the facilities of C.D. Trivema Naval. This sports club, which is located close to the four towers and the main hubs of the city, offers two artificial grass pitches as well as a bar area and terrace where the teams can relax after playing the games.
The most adequate competition system will be set according to the number of the participating companies. The teams will compete in a group stage on Saturday and in a play off phase on Sunday.
The temperatures in Madrid can be high in June and in order to avoid the hottest hours, an afternoon break between 13:30 and 17:00 in both days can be introduced. There is a possibility to reserve a guided group tour of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium for 32 € per person during these hours. If there is an interest in doing this activity we will need to confirm the number of the interested people so that we can reserve the tickets before the 3rd of May.
Spots are limited and exclusive for companies that already participate in competitions organized by the members and partners of EFBLU. The participation fee is 300€ per team and covers all the costs of organization (pitches, referees, balls, trophies and medals, video and photo coverage), water supply during matches and a small snack for the players.
Participating teams will have to cover their transport and accommodation costs. Local Spanish organizers recommend the following four hotels, which are close to the football pitches of C.D. Trivema Naval:
- NH Madrid Las Tablas
- Exe Madrid Norte
- Hotel Weare Chamartin
- Occidental Castellana Norte
All interested parties should submit their applications and transfer the participation fee to the bank account of local organizers FutbolEmpresas till 17th May 2019.
Together with the application, teams should send their squad list with an official confirmation from the HR department of their company that all listed players are employees of the company. Each team, however, can register a maximum of 2 players who are not employees of their company. In case that these non-employees are/were professional football/futsal players, they should be at least 35-years-old.
