| The team of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana are the new champions of Slovenian Poslovna nogometna liga! In the final match of the 2018/19 season, the popular economists, who won EFBLU European Cup 1 in Kraków (Poland) in November 2017 and the 2016/17 national league title, defeated Elektro Maribor by the very impressive 8-2 score! Poslovna nogometna liga is divided into 3 separate regional leagues - Ljubljana, Štajerska and Koper - and each year their top teams meet in the national finals. This year, the national tournament took place in the city of Radomlje on Sunday, 16th June, and featured the top 12 teams of the 26 which started the league season. They were divided into 3 groups of 4 teams. Interestingly, the economists, who won the regional Poslovna liga NZS Ljubljana, and their rivals in the final Elektro Maribor, the fourth placed team in the regional Poslovna liga NZS Štajerska, also met in the group stage and shared the points with a 2-2 draw. In the other two group games, the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana beat Mercator Primorska by 6-0 and DPZ Impol by 2-0 to qualify for the quarterfinals. There they defeated Mercator Ljubljana by 7-2 and followed that with a 4-3 win over the very strong team of Odelo Slovenija in the semifinals. On Sunday, Poslovna nogometna liga organized one more traditional tournament - Poslovni Pokal NZS 2019. It was won by the EFBLU European Cup 2 participants ŠD Skupine Helios!
